Safety sheets

Welcome to CEPSA Companies safety information search tool. In this page you can search, download and print Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), for products supplied by these Companies. An MSDS describes the hazards of a product, as well as how a product must be safely handled, used, and stored.

For additional information, please contact us at productstewardship@cepsa.com

Note. CEPSA Companies will continue providing MSDS directly to direct customers, in order to comply with REACH/CLP Regulations requirements.

Extended Safety Data Sheets, eSDS

The extended safety data sheet (SDS) is the primary tool for information transfer in the supply chain. Extended SDSs under REACH add relevant exposure scenarios based on chemical safety assessments performed according to registration requirements (hazardous substance/mixture, PBT or vPvB substance).

Extended SDSs will be developed for preparations (products that contain multiple substances) as well as individual substances.

Exposure Scenarios for preparations

A number of REACH requirements as well as CLP classification, apply to Companies who manufacture preparations, who are required to pass on information on safe uses to the next actor in the supply chain. This is to be done by the eSDS, with the addition of exposure scenarios for each use. CEFIC has prepared a methodology based on the Dangerous Preparations Directive (DPD), enhanced for certain health exposure pathway with consideration of the volatility of the substances concerned. Hence, it is referred to as the "DPD+ method".
