Pavements Vademecum

In keeping with its line in technological leadership, PROAS decided to compile a manageable publication that the professional could use as a reference book "on site", with all the practical knowledge of the world of tars, their derivates and applications.

That work led to the first edition of the Vademaecum in 1971 and a subsequent second edition in 1979. At that time, the manual was highly successful and it continues to be a reference book for professionals in the sector.

The Vademaecum complies the most relevant information for proper use of tars in its different chapters, with all the necessary data for their correct application.

Being aware of the technical interest of the Vademaecum and mainly thinking of its practical application "on site", PROAS decided to republish the Vademaecum in four new editions in 2007 and 2008, with a new edition (the 7th) foreseen in 2009, totally updated.

The work of compiling the information and technological updating of these editions has been carried out jointly by PROAS, with the invaluable co-ordination activity carried out by the Professor of Civil Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, under the direction of Mr Félix Edmundo Pérez Jiménez, a Professor at the same University.

As a preview to the new edition, considering that updates have been performed with regard to PG3 (OC 24/2008), we attach the new chapters of the Paving Vademaecum, that cover those updates:

If you would like a copy of the new edition, you can request it by e-mail proas@cepsa.com, giving us your name, sending address and  company or profession and we will send it to you free of charge. However, the full work will be available in the Professional Area, where you may consult and even download it to your PC.
