The Puente Mayorga Plant produces:
The raw materials (kerosene, hydrogen, benzene, sulphur and nafta) are received by direct line from the CEPSA Gibraltar refinery; that plant, in turn, return hydrogenated kerosene to the refinery without the normal paraffin, that is an excellent fuel for jet aircraft engines.
| Product | Capacity |
|---|---|
| LINEAR ALKYLBENZENE | 220,000 Tm/Y |
| SULPHONIC ACID | 80,000 Tm/Y |
| NORMAL PARAFIN | 400,000 Tm/Y |
In 1993 in order to satisfy the demand of the NAFTA countries (United States, Canada and Mexico), CEPSA in association with SGF (Société Général de Financement) approved the investment project of a new Linear Alkylbenzene plant at Becancour.
Setting up the Plant was performed in 1995 and it included a new technology worldwide, developed by CEPSA and UOP (Universal Oil Products), called the DETAL process.
Continuing with one of its essential objectives, integration of its activities, the Puente Mayorga Plant supplies the Canada one with n-paraffin as a main raw material.

In 1999, CEPSA acquired 72% of the Brazilian company DETEN, thus becoming its majority shareholder.
DETEN is one of the major producers of Linear Alkylbenzene (LAB) in South America, that also operates with UOP technology.

The Guadarranque Plant produces:
Located in San Roque, it receives paraxylene for its processes from the Gibraltar-San Roque refinery, with which it has the maximum integration.
Its location, three kilometres from the head of Algeciras Bay, in the Strait of Gibraltar, gives it excellent loading facilities for exports, with one of Europe`s main container terminals. A railway siding within the site offers an alternative mode of transport to the sea route.
CEPSA Química is the only producer of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA), and Purified Isophthalic Acid (PIPA) in Spain, these being fundamental raw materials in the polyester industry.

| PURIFIED TEREPHTHALIC ACID | 480,000 Tm/Y |
| PURIFIED ISOPHTHALIC ACID | 220,000 Tm/Y |
| Polímero de Tereftalato de Polietileno | 175,000 Tm/Y |
In order to deliver their products to market NAFTA (U.S., Canada and Mexico), CEPSA, in collaboration with Société Générale de Financement du Québec (SGF), built in Canada this PTA plant, with technology CEPSA.

| PURIFIED TEREPHTHALIC ACID | 550.000 Tm/a |
The industrial activities of this Plant concentrate on two product lines: on one hand, cumene, phenol and acetone; on the other, methylamines and their derivates.
The installations¿ proximity to the CEPSA La Rábida refinery facilitates a high degree of integration between the two plants, with some of the raw materials used in the plant being supplied by the refinery.
It has access to the Queen Sofía port terminal and loading bays for tankers for the reception of raw materials and shipment of finished products.
