CL,S.A.'s Marine Lubricants Division, working with the shipowner's technical personnel, will prepare lubrication studies for its ships and establish the most suitable lubrication monitoring plan for the characteristics of each ship and its type of service.
The lubrication study for a ship has three main objectives:
- Use of the right lubricants.
- Optimization (reduction) of the number of lubricants used.
- Elimination of lubrication errors.
The fact that there is a clear, easy-to-use lubrication study for all the machinery of every ship, together with a suitable monitoring programme for lubricants in service by means of regular inspection (SIGPAT system), ensures long working life of the different machinery, optimum time between oil changes and important savings in ship's maintenance costs.
