Design and innovation in CEPSA Service Stations

The Spanish petroleum company has refurbished the toilets at its service stations in Madrid. On 16th March 2007. CEPSA rolled out a new innovation-filled phase at its Service Stations, beginning with refurbishment of their facilities, more specifically the toilets and its service stations. A key element of the project in the "Are the Toilets Clean" Commitment that CEPSA has been involved with over the last 8 years "WC-COOL", which combine avant garde and functional design at the cleanliness and hygiene level traditionally provided by CEPSA.

Striking innovative design

Special care has been paid to taking advantage of space in designing the new toilets, which will favour user comfort and their cleanliness. On the other hand, replacing the corners with vandal-proof, curved panels that are easy to clean will favour hygiene in the toilets, aided by the new door length, as these will not reach the floor. As a novelty, the soap, hand drier or paper towels will be built into the mirror, which will provide the users additional comfort and cleanliness.

The new WC-COOL will have low consumption LED illumination, the warmth of which will be boosted by an off-white colour. The taps will face downward to avoid water being splashed, will be sensor adjustable and automatic, that will reduce dirt on them, also helping to fulfil our environmental commitment by saving water.

The Los Ángeles service station in the Getafe area of Madrid (NIV, km. 14.3 toward Andalucia) will be the first to enjoy the advantages of the WC-COOL project, that will progressively be implemented in the rest of the CEPSA service stations nationwide. It is a modern, innovative, proposal that is in keeping with the demands made by the public and the CEPSA "What do you need" philosophy, that will contribute to generate a more pleasant, effective environment for the users and employees.
