During the financial year, CEPSA has supplied Moroccan operators about 200,000 tonnes of petrol, diesel and liquid petroleum gas.

CEPSA operates in Morocco through CEPSA MAGHREB, S.A., controlled with equal shares by CEPSA (50%) and IPIC [International Petroleum Investment Company, a firm from the United Arab Emirates (50%)].

In turn, CEPSA MAGHREB holds a stake in the capital of PETROSUD, S.A., a petroleum product operating company that recommenced its activities in April 2001 and, since then, it has supplied petrol and diesel through its ten service stations and the fishing diesel factory it has in the Port of Agadir. This company also commercialises maritime lubricants for the brand Ertoil.

CEPSA MAGHREB is now studying the possibilities of growth of asphalt and petrochemical related products in Morocco, as well as the possibilities to develop fishing diesel at other ports in the country and strategic storage of energy products.
