responsible care programme

The participation of the petrochemical division at CEPSA in the Responsible Care programme is another demonstration of the Group's concern for the environment.

The programme consists of an active and public commitment on the part of the firms, internally and as part of society, in all their operations, to constant progress in the areas of safety, health, and the environment.

The programme came into being in Canada. Soon it spread to most of the industrialized world, aimed solely at the chemical industry. Adherence to the programme is entirely voluntary. The Petrochemical division of CEPSA has taken part since the programme was set up in Spain. The main objectives are as follows:

• To promote responsible action on the part of companies.
• To decide on improvements to be made
• To demonstrate responsible behaviour toward the environment and to fulfil guiding principles.
