CEPSA carries out oil exploration and production activities in Algeria, with two oilfields (RKF and OURHOUD), which make up the core of this activity, which began in the 1980s. Since 2002, in the same country, CEPSA also has a share in gas exploration blocks. |

CEPSA operates block 406A in partnership with Sonatrach (Algerian national oil and gas company), in the Algerian Sahara, under a production sharing agreement. It exploits two oilfields: RKF and OURHOUD. |

CEPSA, jointly with TOTAL (15%/85%, respectively), is participating in exploration activities at blocks 325A and 329 in the Timimoun Basin, situated in the southwest of the Sahara. The area measure 13,250 kilometres squared and is situated in the southwest of the country, an area which has numerous gas fields. |
