SUPPLYING AND REFINING

CEPSA acquires over 20 million tonnes of crude oil per year, from various sources. The three CEPSA refineries in Spain represent more than a third of the national distillation capacity. Between them, the CEPSA refineries⁽¹⁾ can distil 21.5 million tonnes of crude oil per year (156 million barrels), approximately 430,000 barrels per day.

⁽¹⁾ CEPSA also has a 50% share in the ASESA asphalt refinery, situated in Tarragona, with a nominal production capacity of 1.4 million Tm/year.

These sites are managed in line with an operation optimisation model making it possible to maximise the synergy of product and intermediate cargo transfers, as well as integrating its activities with those of the petrochemicals division.
