5.1 ABOUT THIS REPORT

The publication of our 2019 Annual and Corporate Responsibility Report consti- tutes the reaffi rmation of our commit- ment to work tirelessly to be a transparent company, by responding to the informa- tion requirements of all our stakeholders. In this report, we have included aspects of our strategy as a company that will enable us to continue generating value, as well as the performance of our busi- nesses over the course of the year, the economic, environmental and social im- pacts generated, and the actions we have implemented to manage those impacts.

The information contained in the Annu- al and Corporate Responsibility Report complies with the requirements of Law 11/2018, of 28 December, on Non-Finan- cial Information and Diversity approved on 13 December 2018 by the Spanish Lower House, amending the Spanish Commer- cial Code, the Consolidated Spanish Li- mited Liability Companies Law approved by Legislative Royal Decree 1/2010, of 2 July, and the Spanish Audit Law 22/2015, of 20 July, in the area of non-fi nancial information and diversity. The content that responds to these legal require- ments is detailed in the Non-Financial Information Statement table for 2019.

Similarly, this document includes addi- tional information to that required by cu- rrent corporate legislation on the non-fi - nancial information requirements. The 2019 Annual and Corporate Responsibi- lity Report was prepared in accordance with the Core options of the GRI Stan- dards, including the information require- ments contained in the GRI Oil and Gas Sector Supplement. We also followed the recommendations of other internationally

recognised reporting standards such as the International Framework on Integra- ted Reporting () developed by the In- ternational Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), the principles of the Global Com- pact and the Task Force on Climate-rela- ted Financial Disclosure (TCFD) on climate change-related fi nancial risks, as well as continuing to report on our commitment and contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The defi nition of the content of this re- port was prepared in line with the results obtained in the materiality analysis, fo- llowing a methodology that allows the requirements of the GRI standard and the principles for the defi nition of the content of its sustainability reports to be achieved and complied with (inclu- sion of stakeholders, context of sustain- ability, materiality and exhaustiveness), and is developed in Section 4.1.3 on Materiality herein. In addition, the 2019 ACRR was prepared following the prin- ciples for the preparation of reports on the defi nition of quality included in the GRI standard (accuracy, balance, clarity, comparability, reliability and timeliness).

The Annual and Corporate Responsi- bility Report forms part of the direc- tors' report and is subject to the same approval, fi ling and publication proce- dures. The disclosures included were verifi ed by an independent third par- ty in accordance with the ISAE 3000 standard with a limited assurance level.

The 2019 Annual and Corporate Respon- sibility Report includes consolidated infor- mation from the whole Cepsa Group on the economic, environmental and social impact and performance of our activities, and additional information to facilitate understanding of its results, performance and evolution.

Should the scope of any information in- cluded in the report vary from that sta- ted in the preceding paragraph, its specifi c scope is disclosed in the section or in the GRI table. The report also includes fi gures from previous years which have been ad- justed for improved comparability. This is specifi cally stated in the section con- cerned.
