238 pupils across eight schools in the province take part in this activity
- This educational program focuses on the world of energy
A total of 238 pupils at eight educational centers in the province are taking part in the second edition of the Cepsa educational program "Cuadernos de la Energía" ("Energy Notebooks"), through which the Company teaches the students about the world of energy.
Aimed at pupils in their second year of ESO, Bachillerato and Vocational Training, it takes an educational approach to all aspects of energy generation and consumption and, more specifically, all those activities that Cepsa carries out: Exploration and Production, Refining, Petrochemicals, Sales, and Gas and Electricity. Furthermore, it deals with all things related to safety and caring for the environment, both fundamental values at Cepsa.
The activity is divided into two sections. The first, which Cepsa is launching in October, coincides with the start of the academic year and involves carrying out a series of learning units on its own online platform; the second, which complements the first, consists of a seminar at the Gibraltar-San Roque Refinery to be held in the first few weeks of the year.
During this visit, the pupils will go on a tour of the Cepsa facilities in San Roque and will visit the Madrevieja Environmental Station. The program ends with a voluntary piece of work on the world of energy.
Miguel Pérez de la Blanca, Director of the Gibraltar-San Roque Refinery, said: “With this second edition we will consolidate the "Cuadernos de la Energía" program in San Roque. Last year, I saw the level of involvement of both students and teachers in this project, which is a fun and dynamic way to learn about Cepsa and the world of energy."
