The Integral Security Committee of the Spanish Federation of Chemical Industries (FEIQUE) held its annual meeting at Cepsa's San Roque facilities, where safety representatives of the main Spanish chemical companies examine issues such as best occupational risk prevention and industrial safety techniques.
On this occasion, the meeting delved into the coordination of business activities in prevention and the professional exposure limits for chemical agents in Spain. José Manuel Martínez, Director of Petrochemicals at Cepsa, hosted the attendees, welcoming them to Cepsa in San Roque.
Present at the session was Infantry Lieutenant Colonel, from the Land Army Corps, Head of the Intervention Group on Technological and Environmental Emergencies of the UME (Military Emergencies Unit), Carlos Armada Vázquez, who made a presentation titled "The UME in resolving technological and environmental emergencies." Also in attendance was Agustín Bonilla, Director of Operations at Cepsa's chemical plants, who acted as host to the visit in the facilities of Cepsa's refinery and chemical in San Roque.

Cepsa's Petrochemicals area has plants in Germany, Brazil, Canada, China, Spain, Indonesia (under construction), and markets its products worldwide.
The Company is a world leader in manufacturing LAB (linear alkylbenzene), a raw material for making biodegradable detergents, and in producing cumene, parts of which are produced at the two Andalusian plants in San Roque and Palos de la Frontera.
Furthermore, Cepsa is the second largest global producer of phenol (raw material for producing state-of-the-art plastics) and acetone, thanks to the petrochemical plants in Palos and Shanghai.
