We want to be leaders in the field of sustainability in order to contribute to the ecological transition and proactively respond to the expectations of our stakeholders.
ESG management approach
At Cepsa, we are firmly committed to sustainable development and to providing solutions to society's major challenges, so managing environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects is key for our Board of Directors.
We promote the incorporation of best practices in sustainability in our management, as well as the identification of the main expectations of our stakeholders as a basis for contributing to the generation of value and proactively managing our impacts.
To this end, we have an ESG department, with a presence on the Management Committee, created as a reflection of our priority to move towards a greener model and to continue advancing in our positive contribution to society.
This department, which is integrated into the Strategy area in the Economic-Financial department, promotes plans to strengthen our ESG management and develops programs to reduce emissions. In addition, this area participates in the Board's delegated committees and coordinates the working groups that serve as advisory bodies to the Management Committee in order to provide the pertinent recommendations in this area.
All businesses and functional units are represented in these working groups through their managers, so that management is a high-level responsibility shared by the entire company.
We have therefore defined a governance model that guarantees the transversal and cultural alignment of all Cepsa in ESG issues, as well as the monitoring and promotion by the Board of Directors and its delegated committees.
