what is agile?
Agility? Agilism? Many words, that are sometimes misunderstood. Agility is not speed, or not necessarily. Doing things in an Agile framework is much more than getting things done faster. It is about doing what is necessary, what produces value, constantly reviewing work that is being carried out, and rethinking the next steps.

why change how we work?
Because in the current environment of change, volatility, ambiguity and certain confusion, we must do things in a different way to obtain new results that are in sync with our environment.

Agile is a way of thinking
It is not a methodology. It is not a magic formula that we can apply. Agile is based on a set of values and principles, and on the idea of evolution and continuous improvement (personal, as a team, or for the entire organization).
An Agile organization must promote change through every individual, but at the same time assure that the change takes place across the whole organization. Under the Agile umbrella there are different frameworks or methods to help this change and internalize the values and agile principles. There are frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc ... But remember, they are only tools or guides to help us, and we do not have to take them as a mantra.
